UP2 plant :
The UP2 plant is on shutdown period for maintenance. At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A, B and C are on standby.
UP3 plant :
At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 1300 MWe EDF fuel is in progress in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 65 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.
At the T7 vitrification facility, lines A, B and C are on standby. Shipments 3 casks of spent fuel from German nuclear power plants arrived at the COGEMA LA Hague railway terminal in Valognes on January 24th. All these spent fuel will be transfered in La Hague plant's storage pools for their cooling.
Then they will be reprocessed in order to separate the valuable materials and to condition the final residues which will be returned to Germany for storage. For further information about shipments, please consult our website "www.cogemalahague.fr"
