A second transport of MOX fuel assemblies will soon leave Europe to Japan.
This transport, as the ones performed on a regular basis since 1995 for vitrified High Level Wastes and MOX fuels, takes place in the frame of the contracts signed between the COGEMA Group and the Japanese Utilities for the recycling of their nuclear spent fuels.
The information disclosure policy implemented for this transport will be basically similar to the previous operations :
- the date of departure and the information related to the cargo will be communicated 2 days before departure;
- the maritime route will be released 1 day after departure.
