A shipment of spent fuel (1 TN 17cask, containing 7 assemblies ) left the Borssele nuclear power plant (Netherlands) to the COGEMA La Hague reprocessing plant, on September 4th 2002. This transport is expected to arrive at the Valognes railway terminal on September 6th from 9 am.
This transport lies within the context of the 1993 contract signed between EPZ and COGEMA, for the reprocessing of spent fuel from the Dutch nuclear power plant. This operation strictly conforms to national and international regulations.
