Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) says it will choose a site for interim storage of low and medium level waste before the end of 2002. In addition, KHNP plans to start up a vitrification facility for the waste at the Ulchin site in the 2004-2005 time frame, with support from SGN.
