AREVA conducts its operations in a manner that limits the risks to the health and safety of workers and the public, limits the risks to the environment, limits the risks to national security and is consistent with Canada’s international obligations. AREVA is committed to continue to operate to the highest safety, health and environmental protection standards.
“We also appreciated the opportunity that this licence renewal process offered to interested stakeholders to express their viewpoints on our McClean Lake Operation’s track record, our corporate social responsibility performance and the Saskatchewan uranium mining industry’s contribution to our neighbouring northern communities. We thank the intervenors for their contribution to this process and look forward to continue our on-going dialogue with interested stakeholders.”
