AREVA has decided to create a Training Department to optimize the group's skills management in a context of strong growth. The department will include the AREVA University and the future technical training center it will set up. The Training Department will also meet requests for training from other countries. Along with the Human Resources Department, it will be responsible for initiating an e-learning program.

Josseline de Clausade, 54, has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Training.

She has a Masters in applied economics and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris. Upon leaving the ENA in 1983, she joined the Conseil d'Etat (France's highest administrative court), becoming legal advisor and public prosecutor in the legal section in 1986 and Conseil member (judge) in July 1998. She was legal advisor to the Secretary General for European Economic Cooperation (SGCI), then advisor to the Prime Minister's office; she then went on to manage the office of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.

She was appointed to France's permanent representation to the EU in Brussels from 1993 to 1996, and then became special advisor within the cabinet of Foreign Affairs Minister Hubert Védrine for scientific and cultural relations and for promoting the French language, a position she held from 1997 to 2000. In 2000, she went to Los Angeles where she was consul general of France. In 2005, she became General Reporter for the Conseil d'Etat's reports and studies section.

On August 1, 2007, she became General Reporter to the Commission for the liberation of French growth, chaired by Jacques Attali.
