Incident report
In the R7 workshop of the plant UP2 800, during the transfer of a glass container to a storage well on December 16th 2000, and following an automatic control defect, the well's biological protection cover was not replaced at the end of the transfer operation.
The cover had remained in the transfer hood, contrary to the information given by the handling system. The cover was subsequently put back on the well.
It was suggested to the Security Authorities that this incident be classed at level 1 on the international scale of nuclear incidents, as there was no risk to the personnel or the environment.
