AREVA’s industrial sites mobilized for the Energy Days in France

3/28/2013
Press Release

On March 29 and 30, 2013, AREVA will participate in the Energy Days organized by the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy.

Certain exceptional installations will open up their doors: the processing and recycling plants of La Hague (Manche) and MELOX (Gard), the complex for conversion and enrichment at the Tricastin site (Drôme, Vaucluse), the Chalon Saint-Marcel nuclear component manufacturing plant (Saône-et-Loire) and the AREVA site dedicated to energy storage in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône).

While onsite, visitors will be able to discover equipment and areas of strategic importance (control rooms and production facilities), visit themed exhibitions, or discuss with our engineers and technicians.

As part of this engagement, AREVA is launching an initiative to allow web users the opportunity to discover seven of its sites in France: www.visitedesites.areva.com (currently available only in French).

Charles Hufnagel, Senior Executive Vice President of Communications for AREVA said “The Energy Days are an excellent opportunity for the group to open up our sites to the public. It is important to give people a first-hand look at our businesses and activities. This is a key element to an effective policy of transparency and information sharing."
