AREVA to train MOX manufacturing specialists for Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited

AREVA and Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited signed a new contract for the training of 4 specialists in its MOX manufacturing plant Melox, located in the South of France.

These trainees will be the future operators of the J-MOX plant, currently under construction at the Rokkasho-Mura site, in the North of Japan.

AREVA has committed a dedicated a team of experts and tutors to support the trainees. This training will focus on key steps of the Melox process. Training courses will start during the fall 2016 in France for a 6 month period.

“AREVA and JNFL have developed a longstanding partnership for more than 30 years on Back End activities, especially on Recycling. This contract is a concrete implementation of the framework agreement signed in 2014, intended to reinforce our cooperation” declared Guillaume DUREAU, Senior Executive Vice President for Back End Business Group.
