In brief

In partnership with the Musée du quai Branly, the AREVA Corporate Foundation is renewing its support for the “Nomad Workshops”, a traveling event that will meet the public in the Seine-Saint-Denis department on November 15-30, 2014.

For 15 days, residents of Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil are invited to participate in a variety of activities coming to their towns on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and involving five continents: Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. The activities are designed especially for families and young audiences and seek to create awareness of non-European arts and civilizations at an early age.

Conceived in close collaboration with cultural players in both cities, the Museum’s extra-mural encounters include workshops, storytelling, evening events, projects with artists, initiations, meetings, project reproductions and showings of works.

In addition to the autumn events, this collaboration will translate throughout the 2014-2015 school year into projects in the schools and extracurricular organizations, partnerships with local associations, artists’ residences and free shuttles to the Museum. The aim is to promote access to the Museum’s works and activities to as many people as possible and in so doing establish long-lasting ties between the Museum and the residents and associations of both cities.

Through this action, AREVA Corporate Foundation underscores its commitment to supporting cultural outreach initiatives benefiting members of as large a public as possible.
