AREVA Corporate Foundation: Moctar, cured, returns to his family in Niger

Suffering from a serious heart disease that could not be treated in his country, Moctar was operated on in France by Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque (MCC), thanks to a donation by the AREVA Corporate Foundation.

As part of a new partnership sealed between the Foundation and the MCC in 2016, a total of 30 children from Niger receive treatment in France. As many families host them, providing support during the months of separation and the ordeal of the operation.

“We want to give these children a second chance at life, something like a rebirth,” says Professor Francine Leca, President of the MCC association.
