AREVA Corporate Foundation backs Clément, an AREVA employee in Lyon, in a collective artistic creation for young children with learning difficulties

In brief

How do you capture and hold the attention of 60 children ages 6 to 12 in a center for learning difficulties and get them to participate in an artistic adventure? Clément Majot, Mechanical Technical Manager for AREVA in Lyon, has answers to that question through the ANDEOL association and the support of the AREVA Corporate Foundation.

The Therapeutic, Educational and Learning Institute of Varey in the Ain department brought in the ANDEOL association musical group to give some 60 children with learning difficulties involving psychological, relational and behavioral problems a way to become aware of their ability to make progress through the experience of collective creation.

The project: get the children to participate in creating the “Pipo” show with recorders and mime. The children can participate in workshops during the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 school years to learn how to play the recorder and work on fundamentals of sound, space, movement, rhythm and percussion.

During the next school year, once they’ve created a recording and the décor, the children will put on a real show. You’re all invited to the Zeph’ Company’s concert in June 2016!
