Armand LAFERRERE is appointed Vice President, Strategy and Development, Mining Business Group.
This appointment is effective since July 1, 2014.

Andreas MITTLER is appointed Vice President, Operations and Projects, Mining Business Group.

Gilles RECOCHE is appointed Director, Security and Integration in Territories, Mining Business Group.

Thorsten KAMMERZELL is appointed Project Director in charge of the ANGRA 3 project execution, within the Reactors and Services Business Group.

Olivier HUET is appointed Chief Operating Officer of AREVA TA and Performance Vice President of the Propulsion and Research Reactors Business Division.

Biographical information
Armand LAFERRERE began his career at the Court of Auditors in 1995 as an auditor with the 7th chamber. He then became Senior Auditor at the National Audit Office in London before returning to the French Court of Auditors in 1998 as a Public Auditor with the 5th chamber. In 1999, he joined the Ministry of Finance as Assistant Manager for internal affairs and local authorities. In 2001, he was appointed Manager for National Education, Youth and Sports. In 2002, he joined the Ministry of the Interior, Internal Security and Local Liberties as Advisor to the Minister in charge of the budget and administrative reforms. He joined the AREVA group in 2004 as head of Strategy and Audit at AREVA NP and as Deputy Vice President, Strategy for the AREVA group. In 2006, he became President of AREVA Canada Inc, Toronto and then AREVA Russia in 2009. In April 2010, Armand Laferrère is appointed Senior Vice President, Group’s Major Projects Offers, within AREVA’s International & Marketing Department. In 2011, he was Senior Vice President, Commercial Development, and serving as Deputy to the Chief Commercial Officer. Since 2012, he has been President and Managing Director of AREVA Japan.
Andreas MITTLER has spent most of his professional carrier within the Mining business of AREVA. He was underground mine manager at Jouac (France), worked as production manager for COMUF (Gabon), then as project manager for the White Foil gold mine project in Australia, before joining SOMAIR and later COMINAK (Niger) as General Manager. In 2009, he became mining project manager for Total's Joslyn oil sands project in Canada. In 2011, he came back to AREVA to be appointed Vice President, Expertise and Projects Department within the Mining Business Group.
Gilles RECOCHE began his career at the French Géologique Survey (BRGM) in 1983 where he held several positions as Expert, Head of Exploration Project , Mining Remediation and Environment, Mining Industry and Sustainable Development. In 2002 he was Mining environmental consultant in the Technical Direction of the ERAMET group. Gilles Recoché joined AREVA within the Mining Business Group in 2008 as Geosciences Manager. He was appointed General Manager of Jordan AREVA Resources in 2009, then in 2012 General Manager of AREVA Gabon and COMUF. Since September 2013, he has been International Mining Remediation Director.
Thorsten KAMMERZELL started his career in Siemens-KWU in 1991 as Engineer for design activities related to piping/layout and mechanical components for nuclear plants. From 1994 he worked as Project Manager for Service Projects for PWR and BWR plants. In 1996 he was appointed as Project Manager for Modernization Projects in Sweden. In 2002 he joined the New Builds Organization first as Project Procurement Manager for the OL3 Project and from 2006 being in charge for the Procurement Division for New Builds/Installed Base in Germany. In 2010 he was appointed Vice President Procurement for the BG Reactors & Services located in Paris and since February 2014 he has been well committed as Vice President for Operation Support and Quality for Large Projects.
Olivier HUET joined the AREVA group in 1997 as part of SICN. After holding positions in R&D, project management and line management, he joined Canberra (Nuclear Measurement Business Unit) as Plant Manager in Loches. In 2005, he took charge of two of Canberra's American plants. He joined the Mining BG in Paris in 2008 as Director of Coordination and Industrial Performance. In 2010, he has been appointed Director of Operations of the KATCO mine in Kazakhstan. Since July 2013, he has been Renewable Energies Business Group Vice President, Industrial performance and Innovation.
Frédéric Patalagoïty began his career in 1983 as engineer at AREVA NC in charge of sale and fabrication of fuel assemblies and control rods of fast breeder reactors Phénix and Super Phénix. In 1989, he went to Japan to learn Japanese language in the framework of the European Training Program. After 18 month training, he joined AREVA Japan as deputy of the President. Back in France in 1995, he joined the sales organization of the front end cycle as General Manager for Asia. In 1998, Frédéric Palatagoïty joined the sales organization of back-end cycle in charge of all Japanese business. He was appointed Commercial Director for front-end exports in 2001 and went to Japan as CEO of Transnuclear Tokyo, Ltd. in 2003. Back in France in 2006, he was appointed Commercial Director of the Logistics Business Unit. Since 2011, Frédéric Palatagoïty has been in Korea as President of AREVA Korea Ltd.
Jacques Peythieu began his career in 1989 at Dow Chemical. In 1992, he joined the Finance and Treasury Department of AREVA NC (COGEMA at the time), where he was responsible for the Front-Office. In 1995, he joined the recycling Business Unit as controller for the Marcoule, Cadarache, and Melox Plants and from 1997 as Financial Responsible of La Hague Plant. In 2001, he was appointed Financial Director of Information Systems Business Unit and in 2003 Director of the Financial Control Department of AREVA NC. In 2006, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer for the Plants Business Unit. Since 2009, he has been Vice President, Strategy and Business Development of the Mining Business Group.
Jean-Pierre Gros started his career in Péchiney’s R&D Department then went on to various production jobs at Rugles and Montreuil-Juigné. He managed the Paimboeuf plant from 1995 to 1999, and then became general manager of FBFC and Cerca in 2000 and of Cezus in 2003. In January 2007, he served jointly as Senior Vice President of the Fuel Business Unit and Director of the Fuel Business Unit’s Design and Sales Business Unit. Since September 2008, he has been Executive Vice President of the Recycling Business Unit.
